What type of womens shoes are good for providing support for an ankle that has been fractured?

I broke my ankle 18 months ago and am unable to find a shoe type that helps give support and prevent pain. I spend a lot of time on my feet gardening, housework etc.

You may need to get DR.Scholls foot supports to put in the shoes you already have. They work wonders. Hope I helped.

I injured my ankles a few years ago. I used special support socks that support the ankle and I tried to use shoes with a flat bottom and high sides (that reach right over the ankle) as much as possible for quite some time afterwards. This helped me.

Try birkenstocks, I broke my ankle in september 05 and it seems to be the only shoe that my feet feel really supported in at the moment. Other than that you probably need some good trainers.
I also use an ankle aupport too.
