Association with a group that shares common
interests in enhancing theatre.
Two of the
award-winning plays, "The Christmas Wife"
(Katherine Ann Jones) and "The Old Settler"
(John Henry Redwood), have been produced for
television. |
The Beverly
Hills Theatre Guild was established in 1977 to
develop and maintain greater community interest
in the theatre. The Guild does this in several
ways:
- Bringing theatre
to the families of Beverly Hills through the
Nesburn Family Theatre Programs.
- Encouraging
playwrights by sponsoring annual Playwright
Award Competitions.
- Hosting readings
of winning plays in Beverly Hills to a
non-paying audience.
- Providing
theatre for emotionally and physically
handicapped children and adults.
- Hosting senior
adults at performances at local theatres.
- Supporting local
theatre through membership participation.
- Awarding the
BHTG "Spotlight Award" on an annual basis to an
inspirational person of the theatre.
BHTG is a
non-profit organization made up of a diverse
group of members who work together to encourage
new works in the theatre and musical theatre and
to enrich theatrical experiences in the
community. We welcome new members who are
interested in participating in The Guild through
either active or financial support. If you are interested
in becoming a member, please contact us at the
