Can anyone remember a doll that thought kids to tie shoes, button, zip and velcro ?

This doll came out, I believe, in the early 70’s.
The doll I remember was a floppy, stuffed doll. One shoe had shoe strings to tie, buttons up the vest, a zipper on a pocket, and I believe in the 80’s they added velcro.

Dapper Dan and Dressy Bessy are the 2 I can think of right now, but I think there were others.

Over the years, there have been many dolls on the market that teach kids five important getting dressed skills: how to tie, zip, button, buckle, and snap. They can also be used to teach about appropriate clothing. Just google “Learn to dress dolls” and you should be able to find what you are looking for.

Or, if you just want a new doll, there are many available – including ethnic dolls and anatomically correct dolls that teach children the difference between themselves and others. You might also be interested in dolls that have both a happy & sad face because they can be used to encourage children to talk about their feelings.
