The best way to get used to these fast, is wear some real toe shoes to strengthen ur ankles first. n put all ur weight on ur toes to walk in those, otherwise ur gonna reall hurt urself. i was a ballerina for 8 years, wearing real toe shoes really helps. ^_^ you able to walk in those like regular boots at one point

That is nice, I would like to see BB become more popular. But after geting a pair of those Dievous ankle boots I find that they are not walkable right out from the box. After putting a spacer on the toe tip to levrl out the angle I find the toebox collapsing and that hurts toe toes. Also I had to stuff the lower part with clay to fill all the extra space as they are not foot shaped. So I have started to make my own design which will have a stiff ankle for safety and all day comfort.

They’re nowhere near supportive enough to dance en pointe. They’re not made the same way as pointe shoes.

Awesome boots. The right heel is bending, though. Is that supposed to happen?

Easier on hard flooring lol – They look good but would kill your feet. I’d love to see a ballerina dance in them, though the ankle needs room to flex.

Hmm I think maybe you need to train up more on your ankles? Because strong ankles are an essential in walking these boots
Btw, the boots look amazing *beams* ^^

Hi Daddy’s Girl.
How are you doing with your bboots? Haven’t had a post in a while I hope all is A-OK. If you need help please ask us bboot wearers.
Best to you.

Looks like you are doing well, but I understand that walking on carprt, etc. while learning is much more difficult than a hard level surface. Congrats and above all, be careful and enjoy them!

I have a wonderful teacher

That’s all very very true. Heels break easier if they are not loaded and ther is a suddenly hit.

how much did they cost

You are doing extremly well, especially bearing in mind your recent fall. Please do NOT rush it, it took me many months to become confident enough to walk/balance with confidence. Now I so love my ballet boots/shoes I wear them at every opportunity.

I am glad you do make heel contact. The “theory” appears sound, however this action places extreme pressure on the tip of the toes and ankles. It also pitches the body forward and makes walking harder. Heel breakage is actually easier when toppling from full pressure at the toe. I don’t suggest a slam full heel force in any heel. The pressure and motion is individual and found by practice as achieving in any art.
Keep up your good work

Some people actually suggest the opposite with ballet heels, only putting weight on the toe and not the heel. I do put a little weight on the heel when walking but have to be very carefull not to bend it in any direction before the toe makes contact

Thanks! I’ll try that… I think the pain’s overwhelming my thoughts. But, I figured out why it’s hurting so much and am working on correcting the situation.

Rely on the shoes heel. Heel, toe. Heel toe. You will have much better control of the boot instead of stepping onto your toe.
Well done!
