I need a pair of school shoes (they can be basically anything i just don’t want flip flops) and good athletic shoes.
converse are good (basically any color) because they go with anything. for athletic shoes, i like nikes or adidas

In my days as a high school student (this was 2000 in my senior year, so rather recent) I typically wore either black Converses, blue jeans or tan slacks with a black shirt, or rather heavy-duty shoes if you live in the midwest that would be waterproof, fashionable, protect your feet, and are cheap. For this I recommend a stop to Wal-Mart, you can get the boots for about $30.00USD. The Converses on the other hand are relatively overpriced, flimsy, and wear out fast and sell for about $50.00USD, however in my opinion they look cooler as they age.
As for athletic shoes, it depends on what you will use them for. If you want a pair of spartan (basic) athletic shoes at a relatively good price, you can’t go wrong with Reebok tennis shoes. Nikes in my opinion are undersized, expensive, uncomfortable, and relatively clunky. Anyways, hopefully that helps and I wish you a great year ahead!
